RE: Town Center Elementary School
Dear Mr. Martin:
This office has received your letter dated July 12, 1993, referencing additional com-
ments from the original submittal on Town Center Elementary School. These correc-
tions have been made on the items you listed.
1. The sewer easement has been removed from Sheet 2.6. The easement is cor-
rectly indicated on Sheet 2.5.
2. The "key plan" north arrows in the margin have been deleted as they are not re-
quired because the north arrow is indicated next to the scale on the plan.
3. The dotted lines on Sheet 2.8 indicate the drainage areas. We have made the
dotted lines bolder to more clearly define the drainage areas.
4. The existing manhole and 8" stubout have been deleted.
5. The spelling mistakes have been corrected.
6. On Sheet 8.0, detail 2 directs the contractor to install the water meter and as-
sociated items per the City of Coppell standards. Note #2 on Sheet 8.0 states
that all installations shall be per the City of Coppell standards. In accordance
with the letter dated January 25, 1993 from Mr. Ken Griffin, City of Coppell, stan-
dard construction detail sheets are not to be submitted with the plan submittals.
This is why the standard sheets have not been included. A set of Coppell stan-
dard details is on site at the construction office and can be reviewed there when
requested.
7. A set of Coppell standard construction details is present at the jobsite office for
review.
8. As stated above in item #7, a set of standard details is present at the jobsite for
use on details in city easements. The private improvements will be installed per
the details indicated on Sheet 2.4.

In addition to the eight items listed above which were itemized in your letter, the follow-
ing comments refer to the redmarked items on the plans:
Sheet 1.1.
At the DRC meetings it was specifically requested by staff not to call this project
"Coppell Elementary #8," but to call it "Coppell Elementary School Heartz Road
Site." According to your redmarks we will add the #8 to the cover sheet as re-
quested.
Sheet 2.9.
The box inlet is located in what will eventually be the ring road. At the time that
the ring road is installed, the box inlet will need to be modified to a curb inlet.
Sheet 2.10.
Refer to note above on Sheet 2.9 for comment on future drive area.
Sheet 8.0.
Detail 2 has been revised so that the 3" domestic water line ties directly into the
city main line in the right-of-way.
By the general note #2, the contractor is responsible to install the meters and detector
check assemblies as required by the city. The details are on the City of Coppell stan-
dards which are at the jobsite office for review. The details were not attached to this set
of drawings as requested by the city engineer's letter dated 1-25-93 as explained on
item 6 above.
