A new subdivision on Saddle Tree Trail, which is currently in final stages of development, has created a
serious drainage problem for the residents on Spanish Moss and Jeb Court who have adjoining property.
Prior to the development of this subdivision our property drained back onto the subdivision area that has
been newly develop~t Since the construction, every time it rains we have standing water in our yards for
a number of days. Due to the standing water many of us have plants and grass that are dying. We have
standing water that is causing mosquitoes and our children are unable to play in our yards for days after it
has rained. We have attempted to discuss this issue with Avery Edwards' representatives and were told
on at least one occasion that they had developed the property per the city's drawings and it is the city's
issue, not Avery Edwards'.
We have obtained the elevation drawings from Mark Martin, a city engineer, and it is very clear that our
property should be at a higher elevation than the Avery Edwards' houses. It is also clear that a number of
the houses have passed inspection and the drainage has not been addressed. We would like the city to
assist us, as residents of Coppell, with a resolution to this issue prior to Avery Edwards completing their
subdivision.
