Shadowridge P1-3-CS 900811August 11, 1990 Mr. Steve Goram Director of Public Works, City of Coppell P.O. Box 478 Coppell, Texas 75019 Dear steve: I have three items that I'd like your help on, if possible. 1) The southwest corner of Denton Tap and Bethel Road had a brick planter with Nana Nandinas planted in front of a row of Crepe Myrtles. When the Denton Tap construction project got going the construction crew tore out the planter, and deposited a pile of dirt and concrete on the south side of Bethel Road about 50 feet west of the intersection. In the past we've been in contact with Russell Doyle on this and he copied us on a letter to the contracting firm stating that this kind of item was covered under the construction contract and should be taken care of. Now that the landscaping is being installed it would make it a logical time to cleanup and replant this corner. Since Mr. Doyle is no longer with the City staff please forward this item to the appropriate person and ask them to call me at 393-0214 or write with the status. 2) There is a strip of grass between the road and a small drainage ditch on the south side of Plantation Drive for the block east of the Plantation Drive-Coppell Road-Ruby Road. Who is maintaining this strip of land? Is it City of Coppell? Originally Fox & Jacobs had planted some Crepe Myrtle shrubs there and maintained this strip of land. Although most of the shrubs had died some still live. Unfortunately they are mowed with the grass and never established any significant size. Does the City mow this area or does the landowner to the south? 3) The streetlights on the bridge on Bethel School Road (one block west of Denton Tap) are not working again. They do not appear to be vandalized and did not burn out one at a time. Could you please have them checked? Perhaps they were turned off as a part of the utilities for some of the new homes on the north side of Bethel School Road. Thanks, for your help, Steve. I've enclosed a copy of our most recent homeowners association newsletter which was distributed to almost 380 homes. On page 2 you will note our public thank you for your help in the entry-way landscaping project. Michael W. Walsh Shadow Ridge Estates Homeowners Association 233 Southern Belle Drive Coppell, TX 75019
