Dear Mrs. Bellington:
Thank you for your letter on behalf of the Homeowners Association regardinq the
restoration of a brick planter removed due to construction at Bethel School and
Denton Tap.
Your request has been reviewed by myself and our City's Consulting Eng].nee£,
Wayne Ginn, whose firm oversaw the road project affecting the sign. It ~s our
recommendation that the sign not be restored.
Insufficient right-of-way and the City's requirement of a homeowners associat ~on
through deed restriction are the primary reasons for this recommendation.
Reconstruction and replanting the area would occur within a visibility triang] ~
at an intersection creating a possible obstruction to motorists traveltn~
roadways. In addition, ~ts construction would occur on private property ieavinq
no public access to repair it unless easements were provided in addition to the
assurance the items reconstructed would remain irregardless of future develo~enu
on the land.
Again, thank you for your letter and if any further or future assistance '3r(,m
Public Works is necessary, please contact us at 462-8495.
Sincere ly,
Park Superintendent
