Dear Ken:
I have reviewed the marked up set of engineering drawings for the new elementary school
on Village Parkway. The corrections have been made and the following comments pertain to
each item that you had referenced in your letter to Ayres and Associates dated 4-6-92.
Item 1. The school district will have crosswalks, pedestrian signals and school zone
flashers installed prior to the school opening in the fall of 1993.
Item 2. This drive has been revised to reflect the straightened drive.
Item 3. This detail pertains to sidewalks abutting drives on private land. The detail for
the sidewalk along the street is detail 1/2.4. The sidewalk is shown one foot
off the property line on sheet 2.3.
Item 4. These items have been revised according to your note.
Item 5. The contractor knows and will be purchasing these items from the City of
Coppell.
Item 6. The link seal note has been added to the detail.
Item 7. The double check backflow preventers have been relocated to the proper
place.
Item 8. This detail has been added to the set of drawings.
Item 9. These details have been revised accordingly.
In addition to the comments in your letter, the following comments pertain to the notes on
the cover sheet by L.D. on 4-1-92.
1. This detail has been added to the set of drawings.
2. The easements for the meter and vaults are shown on the plat on Sheet 2.8.

3. The direction of flow and surface flow directional arrows have been added to Sheet
2.5 to indicate the drainage direction.
Attached please find five (5) sets of revised drawings and the two (2) redmarked sets.
Please call me so I may pick up two (2) sets of approved drawings to give to the contractor.
