Cost Estimate for Temporary Repair of
Whispering Hills and Plantation Dr.

Obvious subgrade failures are evident on Whispering Hills and Planta-
tion Dr. in the Shadowridge Subdivision. Temporary repair of these
streets are required before deterioration makes these streets
impassable. Permanent repair, which would be impossible to undertake
with existing resources, would involve reconstruction of a large
area of the street, including recompaction of utility trenches and
replacement of stabilized subgrade.
The recommended temporary repairs would involve the undersealing
of the affected pavement sections to prevent further settlement
of the pavement structure and fill anticipated voids under yet
unaffected pavement sections. After the undersealing is complete
a level up course of hot mix asphalt will be applied on top of the
concrete to restore curb drainage and rideability of the pavement.
