Lots 44 through 51 on Spanish Moss Ct.
To Whom it May Concern:
We have been advised by the City Council of Coppell through Mr.
Alan Ratliff, City Manager, to pursue resolving a situation which
affects the above referenced lots. Research of the City's
current tax records indicate that lots 44 through 51 are all
owned by Fox & Jacobs.
The situation needing to be addressed regards grading on these
lots and the impact on drainage that this has had on the existing
residences south of these lots along the north side of Kaye
Street.
On October 13, 1987, homeowners along Kaye Street presented a
petition to the City Council of Coppell citing drainage problems
that have developed along their north property lines as a result
of the higher elevations of the above referenced lots in relation
to their own lots. Subsequent field investigations by our staff
and the Public Works Dept. has determined that due to the present
grading on these lots, drainage is impeded for the lots to the
south.
Since these lots have always drained northward, we must request
at this time that drainage be provided immediately across lots 44
through 51 to accommodate drainage for the Kaye Street
residences. It appears that minor surveying and grading work
will be needed to accommodate drainage for the majority of the
lots. A final inspection by the P~bli¢ Works Dept. and our staff
and a review of the surveying field notes of the improvements
will determine final acceptance of the work and the ability to
issue building Dermits in the future.
We trust that with the continued spirit of cooperation and
community support that your organization has exhibited in the
past that this will help all parties involved reach a quick
solution to this matter.
