Shadowridge P1-3-CS 870623June 23, 1987 TO: Steve Goram, Director of Public Works FROM: Per Birdsall, Streets Foreman RE: Alley at 249 Whispering Hills The alley behind the above address does have a drainage problem. Cracks are evident at GTE connection boxes. According to profile, grinding would not resolve the problem, because we would have to grind 3 3/8" into what could be a 4½" pavement at the invert. I spoke with Mr. Hennison on June 19, 1987 and explained that I would investigate a solution. My only recommendation due to the cracking, possibly caused by utility bores, is to replace the affected sections of alley pavement. Mr. Hennison explained that his neighbors across the alley had been using solvents of some type and when he backed his boat thru the puddle, across the grass onto his parking pad, he noticed later that the grass had died where his tires had crossed the grass.
