RE: Shadow Ridge Estates, Phase I
Dear Gabe:
In the above subdivision some storm drain pipe has been stubbed-
out at certain locations for future extension. (See attached
Drainage Area Map). At the present time, however, some erosion
is taking place and creating problems in finalizing the paving
contract.
I would like to recommend that all stub-outs be plugged at this
time and the holes around these stub-outs be backfilled. This
will halt any additional erosion. At each and every location
runoff will be handled with other low point inlets or existing
borrow ditches. Along Whispering Hills Drive and at the west
end of Plantation Drive runoff will simply run into the streets
and into curb inlets. At the west end of Tara Court, area J1
presently drains south in the west ditch of Harris Drive. Thus,
all stub-out openings are really superfluous at this point in
time.
Also, for your information, we are already preparing plans for
Phase II of Shadow Ridge and the owner expects to be extending
the storm drain pipes within the subdivision early next year.
Please take a look at this and give me a call at 640-8212 as
soon as possible. The owner is quite anxious to final the paving
contract, and I feel this backfilling will take care of the
present problems without any detrimental effects.
