Shadow Ridge Flow Line 30" R.C.P.
COPPBnn PUBLIC
In response to Mr. Sanford LaHue's letter of 2/7/90 describing the
condition of the 30 R.C.P. on Bethel Road, I would agree that a
density was taken in the general location of the placement of the
30 R.C.P. after sanitary sewer installa~ was completed. With
the displacement of the 30" R.C.P., the[pis~ibility of an void in
the backfill material exists between th t~o~ of the R.C.P. and the
bottom of the concrete paving.
At this time there is no visual indication of a settlement of a
void. If a backfill settlement void exist, it is my feeling that
after several wet/dry weather cycles and wheel axle loads applied
to the concrete pavement above the 30" R.C.P. may occur. My
recommendation would be to remove the concrete paving section and
adjust the R.C.P. to proper flow line grade and recompact the ditch
line, backfill, or extend the bond period for at least a 24 month
period.
If I can be of further assistance, please let me know.. Thank you.
