In response to your letter of Jan. 10, 1990 I am submitting the information your office
has requested to pursue the resolution to the 30" RCP culvert located at Bethel School
Road and the alley of Shadow Ridge Estates - Fourth Increment.
Enclosed please find the soil test results performed by Geo-Technique of Grapevine, Tx.
for Crawford Utilities. Test No. 1 shows that the specified density was obtained in the
area of the sanitary sewer manhole and the culvert in question. Furthermore since the
initial settlement was fa'st observed (12-18-89) the culvert has been subjected to several
wet/dry weather cycles and has not shown any additional settlement. In addition there is
no silting in the low point of the culvert which would indicate cleaning velocities and
support the inlet condition design concept.
Also enclosed is a blueline drawing of sheet 5 showing the recommended rehabilitation
necessary to restore a positive towline gradient.
Xerox copies of the above mentioned soil test results, a copy of the design chart with
illustrations of inlet control conditions for pipe culverts and copies of rehabilitation
construction materials that are specified on plans for your review and records.
