Dear Mr. Davis:
We opt to use Chlodnation Method No. 3. Which entails for the water and chlodne to
be added to the storage facility in amounts such that the solution will initially contain 50
MG/L available chlodne and will fill approximately 5 percent of the total storage volume.
This solution shall be held in the storage facility for a period of not less that 6 hours.
The storage facility shall then be filled to the overflow level by flowing potable water into
the higher chlodnated water. It shall be held for a period of not less that 24 hours. All
highly chlodnated water shall then be purged through the drain piping.
Following this procedure, and subject to satisfactory bacteriological testing and
acceptable aesthetic quality, the remaining water may be delivered to the distribution
system. We will dose the tank from the 8" lateral line at the point where we tied onto
existing 12" waredine. Therefore chlodnation of all piping on the project along with the
chlodnation of the tank.
