Dear Sirs:
The Board of Trustees of Coppell Independent School District
would like to request a name change for the street currently
named "Cowboy Drive".
We believe "Cowboy Drive" is a vital part of the physical
make-up and the traditions associated with Coppell High
School. We would like to move the name "Cowboy Drive" to
the access road that links Parkway Blvd. and the new
Coppell High School facilities.
With the possibility that the existing "Cowboy Drive" might
eventually extend to Freeport Parkway, we recommend that it
be renamed "Wrangler Drive" and the existing "Wrangler Drive"
be changed to "Wrangler Circle" because it ends at school
property. Since the population is currently familiar with
where "Wrangler Drive" is located, this should help lessen
the confusion of the name change.
