RE: Stratford Manor Greenbelts
Dear Mr. Martin:
Per our conversation last week, the purpose of the subsurface drains that are proposed to
be installed is to reduce the amount ofponding that is currently occurring in the greenbelt
areas. As y.'ou knoxv, prior to construction of this project, water was standing in natural
low areas across the site.
As an alternative to removing the trees that are in the general low areas, the drains are
being proposed. In the event of periods of heavy rain, impounded water may occur in
said areas temporarily. I feel that this is superior to not placing drains.
