Construction Plan Review Comments
Dear Mr. Dunne:
The City of Coppell has reviewed the referenced plans and has the following comments to offer:
1. Please provide a copy of the plat with the construction plans.
2. Sheet Cl.1 - General note comment #4 should be clarified to reference City of Coppell
Standard Details and Specifications. General note comment #21 should be revised to remove
the City from cost for inspection services.
3. Sheet C4.1 - Some type of transition should be provided to the relocated low point inlet.
4. Sheet C5.1 -
a) The extension of the water line labeled as "public" should be minimum a 8" in diameter.
b) The proposed fire line vault should be contained within a utility easement.
c) You should only make one tap to the existing water line; you should then tap that line for
your irrigation line. This is in lieu of the proposed two taps into the existing 8" water
line.
d) Please comment as to where you are proposing ductile iron pipe for water lines. Material
to be used for the extension of water lines should be PVC pipe.
5. Sheet C6.2 & C8.1 - Details should be removed fi.om the construction plans. There should
be notes referencing the fact that the City of Coppell Standard Details will govern the
construction of the project. The only details allowed in the construction plan are details that
are specific to this project, not details which are covered by our Standard Details.
Once these comments have been addressed, please return these marked-up plans and two sets
of revised plans to the City for further review. If you have any questions, please contact me at
(972) 304-3686.
Sincerely,
Kenneth M. Griffin, P.E.
