Easement for 54-Inch Water Line
Dear Ms. Taylor:
We have reviewed the construction plans you sent for the proposed elevated sidewalk. This
sidewalk crosses a City of Irving water line easement near Starleaf Road in the City of Coppell.
Since we have limited access to our easement, we will need to be able to drive equipment up and
down the easement to access the pipeline for maintenance and repairs. It appears the entire
section of sidewalk that crosses Irving's easement is elevated up to eight feet above the ground.
We request that the sidewalk within our easement be designed to be easily removed and set back
in place without destroying the sidewalk. We also prefer that no piers or support members be
installed into the ground in the easement to allow equipment to travel down the easement when
the sidewalk is removed.
We would like to work with the City of Coppell on this issue and produce a solution acceptable to
both Cities. Consider our comments and resubmit drawings showing the requested changes.
Please call me if you have any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Todd W. Reck, P.E.
