Dear Mike:
Last summer, a meeting was held in the upstairs conference room at City Hall to discuss the
offsite drainage system for the above referenced project. In addition to my client and me,
attendees included Robert Howman representing the Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD and Ken
Griffin.
My position in that meeting was that our offsite drainage system should be sized adequately to
accommodate the drainage leaving the School District's project as well as ours. and that the
District should participate in the cost of the combined system.
Mr. Howman, on behalf of the District, declined to participate in such a system.
It was my understanding at the conclusion of the meeting, that given the District's refusal, we
were to design and construct our svstem in a way that excluded the District's drainage. The only
exception to this was that we were to provide an inlet along the school site's east line to pick up
"nuisance water".
