Dear Mr. Dewey:
The City of Coppell has reviewed the referenced plans and has the following comments to
offer:
1. Do not include the City of Coppell's Standard Details with your construction plans. They
are only to be referenced in your construction plans. All contractors and subcontractors
are required to have a complete set of the City of Coppell Construction Standards on the
job site. We do not include them with the construction plans.
2. Please comment as to why you have revised the location of your sewer service to this
building. The new location requires you to bore Town Center Blvd. and dig to make a
connection to a manhole and actually install more linear feet of pipe. The comment on the
original location was if you are tying into a manhole then it should be relocated out of the
sidewalk. That comment still stands. If there is an existing manhole, the sidewalk should
not go through the manhole. The sidewalk should go around the manhole, or the manhole
should be relocated.
3. It was noted on the prior construction plans that a wastewater access device should be
provided. This device should be provided at the property line.
If you have any questions, please contact me at 972/304-3686, otherwise please make the
appropriate changes and resubmit the plans for approval. The City requires three sets for
office. You should also submit adequate copies for all contractors and subcontractors to have a
approved set while they are working on this project.
