Gentlemen:
In our original report (Report No. 97DG1146, dated May 12, 1997), we provided recommendations
regarding the proposed pavement at the referenced project. This report contains pavement design
alternatives that may be used at this site. This information was requested by Mr. Bill Anderson with
Dowdey Anderson & Associates on June 11, 1998. The analysis followed procedures from the
American Association of State Highway Officials (AASHO) Interim Guide.

In the event that greater traffic volume is expected, the thickness of the aforementioned pavement
sections should be increased within specifically loaded areas. Periodic maintenance of the pavement
will be required during the design life of the pavement. All other recommendations in our
previously submitted report remain valid.
