I am in receipt of your lctter of'September 5. l.og?. It should be made clear that one of your
assumptions was misstated and should be corrected herein. '~hilc ! }lave stated that 24,000
square fect must be built on the property. I have never agrocd that it is short of' landscaping and
do not agree with the city's calculations.
No one has ever been able to show that any othcr multi-tenant center tn tile city of Coppcll has
been required to do the amount of landscapin§ that is being rcquired of'my site. Tile desire by
the city planners must be balanced by what is reasonable and affordable in a commercial projcct.
Rent prices have a limit and those necessary to fill this center are alrcady at the high sidc. Any
additional burdcns required by the city will make this project unf'easible.
! have consistently maintained that this center is a beautifid addition to the city and will be much
I~,tter than another Past food joint. Somewhere, the planners must decide if sticking to an
tmrcasonable approach is worth trading my center for a Whataburger.
While I am amenable to reaching a comprom,se, I cannot be pickcd apart on each and every wish
of'the committee. Therefore I make tho following proposal:

In exchange, the committee will recommend approval of the site plan as it, no more loading

Ga~, you know well Utis is a good plaa for this site and much preferred to the alternatives. It is
time for the city to use some c~z~mon sense.
