COMMENTS:
Enclosed are a few options we have developed for the 3-8'x6' Box Culverts crossing Coppell Road.
It is impossible to install the Box Culverts without acquiring a drainage easement from the
homeowner on Westminster. The reasons for this is the head required to pass a portion of the
developed' flow arid the elevation of Coppell Road. Please review these alternatives and call Alan
Greer and myself with your questions and comments.
After analyzing the 96" RCP system we feel that it has adequate capacity to pass the required flow.
The downstremn channel is a question. We were given a sheet from Halff & Associates entitled 121
Business Park Drainage Outfall for Shell Oil Company, dated Feb. 1989. This sheet shows an
earthen channel to an improved Rock Rip-Rap channel to the creek, but during a site visit this week
there is an RCP pipe to the improved channel to the creek. Could you please veri f~ where this Halff
sheet is from and are there plans to construct this sheet?
