Dear Mr. Arnold:
In accordance with the request from your oFFice I have
reviewed the concrete mix designs and product data submitted
by Del-Mac Construction for use on the referenced project.
Tt~e Following are my comments:
Mix #4700, (3000 psi Paving and Sidewalks)
This mix is designed to produce 3000 psi at 28 days,
contains 470# cementitious material (no Fly ash), ASTH C494
and C260 admixes, I"-#4 crushed stone coarse aggregate, and
is designed with a 3" to 5" slump and 4~ to 6~ entrained air.
In reviewing the data submitted, (30 test results) wh'ich
appear to be in order and correct as submitted, I Find that
the data indicates that this mix will provide the required
strength, in 28 days, plus the safety factors required by
ACl 318.
CONCLUSION:
I recommend acceptance oF the mix listed above based
on the cylinder strength data submitted. Final review and
approval should be by the structural engineer.
