Dear Robert:
As you begin addressing some of the final items and issues on the referenced project,
please remember that you still need to provide the City with verification of the pavement
strength in the areas which failed to meet the minimum compressive strength of 3000 psi
at 28 days. According to the test results provided by TEAM Consultants, Inc., an area in
question is the north half of the roadway between Sta. 35+50 to Sta. 49+50. In accordance
with the NCTCOG Standard Specifications, you have the option to core this section of
pavement and have the cores tested by an approved laboratory.
I would encourage you to coordinate with the City and schedule the necessary cores as
soon as possible, so that this issue can be discussed and resolved before you request final
acceptance.
