Pay Estimate No, 13 From Tiseo Paving Company

We have reviewed Pay Estimate No. 13 from Tiseo Paving Company for their work on the
Wrangler Drive project through 05/31/99. It appears that the work completed during the
current period (05/01/g9 to 05/31/99) consisted primarily of subgrade stabilization, concrete
paving and some utility adjustments. Based upon my observations and understanding of
the status of Tiseo's work on the project, I would offer the following comments for your
consideration before recommending approval of the subject pay estimate:
1. Pay Item No. I1-1 Prepare Ri_qht-of-Way
This item includes:
a. The work necessary to modify and/or adjust existing irrigation systems at several
locations, as indicated on the plans; and
b. The removal, temporary storage and reinstailation of all public roadside signage.
Tiseo has asked for 100% payment on this item. Before recommending payment,
please verify that all work under this pay item has been satisfactorily completed. If not,
I would recommend reducing the percentage complete by an amount equivalent to the
value of the work still remaining.
2. Bay Item No. 11-7 & 8 Lime Stabilized Subqrade & Lime for Subqrade Stabilization
1 am not aware of any reason why the square yardage of stabilization should be higher
than the original estimated quantity, The current work quantities for Items 11-7 & 11-8
should, therefore, be revised.
3. Pay Item .No, 11-46 Special 4' Square Storm Drain _A.c_c. ess_Manhole
I am not aware of any reason why the quantity for this item should be higher than the
original estimated quantity. Was there work completed on this item during the subject
work period? This pay item should, therefore, be revised.

4. Pay Item No. 11-..6_~ Remove/Relocate Existing Fire Hydrant
I am not aware of any reason why the quantity for this item should be higher than the
original estimated quantity. This pay item should, therefore. be revised.
