Re: J. Thompson Tract Access to TRA System
On July 8, 1987, Mr. Johnny Thompson, J.C. H~rsey, P.E., and
Walter Pettijohn met here to discuss a request from Mr. Thompson
for water and sewer service to his property.
Mr. Thompson/will construct this line at his cost. The waterline
will belong to the City of Coppell. There will be no pro-rata
assessments against the adjacent property owner's unless
requested by J. Thompson and enacted by the City Council (see
file - letter dated 10/8/87).
Mr. Thompson was to secure the necessary easements and these were
to be dedicated to the City of Coppell.
According to our conversation, the proposed easement down Fairway
Dr. will be abandoned in lieu of the R.O.W. for Fairway Drive.
The 10' waterline easement paralleling Southwestern Railroad is
still required. Mr. Thompson has the agreements according to
Jay Hersey but no executed agreements have been received to date.
The City of Coppell made application to TRA on 1/11/88 for the
two points of entry on Trinity'River Authority's easement and has
been approved.
Presently Larry Jackson is drawing up a Letter of Indemnification
for Mr. Johnny Thompson to sign.
I have accumulated the following items:
1. Project work description
2. Copy of indemnification clause from TRA application
3. Clarified R.O.W. vs. easement and whether private or public.
4. Ownership of proposed constructed waterline
5. Letter from Lone Star Gas Co. acknowledging receipt and
review of proposed construction along and in a portion of
their existing easement.
The above items were required by Mr. Jackson for the purpose of
writing a letter indemnifying the City of Coppell and for Mr.
Thompson to sign. These items are "ready for delivery to Mr.
Jackson's office pending receipt of the executed easement
agreements.
