On October Z8, 1986 the City of Copper annexed the land you own located north
of Beltlme Road and west of the Elm Fork of the Trinity River.
City ordinance requires that all construction in newly annexed areas of the city
be permitted before construction continues. 'Chis will apply only ~o those buildings
on which construction work has begu~. Dirt work does not consti~ule consr, ruction
work; however, fotmdation or plumbing work will be determined ~o be consr, rac~ion
work.
Any fm'ther development of the land will require plat approval from the City
of CoppelL Pleue contact Taryon Bowman at 462-00ZZ ext. 248 for information
concerning platting.

SECTION 6
TEHPORARY ZONING - ANNEXED TERRITOI{~ ,~.
6-1 ALL TERRITORY HEREINAFTER ANNEXED TO THE CI7~' OF CO??ELL SHALL
BE TEMPORARILY CLASSIFIED AS "A" AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT, UN'IIL
PERHANEITT ZONING IS ESTABLISHED BY THE CIT~' COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF COPPELL. THE PROCEDURE FOR ESTABLISHING PEP~L~NE~I
ZONING ON ANNEXED TERRITORY SHALL CONFOEM TO THE PROCEDURE
ESTABLISHED BY LAW FOR THE ADOPTION OF ORIGINAL ZONING REGU-
LATIONS.
6-2 In an area temporarily classified as "A", Agricultural Dis-
s. No person shall erect, construct or proceed or continue
with the erection or construction of any building or
structure or cause the same to be done in any newly
annexed :erritory to the City of Coppell without first
applying for and obtaining a Building ?ermit or Certifi-
cate of Occupancy from the Building Official or the City
Council as may be re~uired.
b. No permit for the cons=ruction of a building or use of
land shall be issued by the Building Official other than
a permit which will allow the construction of a building
permit~ed in ~he "A", A$ricultural District, unless and
until such territory has been classified in a zoning
district other than the "A", A~ricultural Distric:, by

the City Council in the manner prescribed by law except "~."
as provided in 6-2c. following.
c. An application for a permit for any other use than
specified in paragraph b. above shall be made to the
Building Official of the City of Coppell and by him
referred to the Planning and Zoning Commission for
consideration and recommendation to the City Council and
the action and recommends=ion of each body concerning any
such permit shall take into consideration ~he appropriate
land use for ~he area. The City Council, after receiving
and reviewing the recom~endations of the Planning and
Zoning Co,,~lssion may, by majority vote, authorize the
issuance of a Building Permit or Certificate of Occupancy-
or may disapprove the application.

7-1 ALL LAND, BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES OR APPURTENANCES THEREON
LOCATED WITHIN TNE CITY OF COP?ELL, TEXAS, W'MICP. AgE HEREAFTER
OCCUPIED, USED, ERECTED, ALTERED, REMOVED, PLACED, DEMOLISHED
OR CONVERTED SHALL BE OCCUPIED, USED ERECTED, ALTERED,
REMOVED, PLACED, DEMOLISHED OR CONVERTED IN CONFORMANCE WITH
THE ZONING REGULATIONS PRESCRIBED FOE THE ZONING DISTRICT IN
WHICH SUCH LAND OR BUILDING IS LOCATED AS HEREINAFTER PROVID- .<'.?:-.---:
