Re: Construction Materials Testing
Residential Building Pads
Villages of Coppell, Phase IIIB
Coppell, Texas
Gentlemen:
Submitted here are the results of testing and observation of
construction materials at the referenced project. This report
addresses the fill placement in the residential building pads from
August 10 through 22, 1992.
On August 10, 1992, two density tests were performed on the fill
placed by Craig Olden, Inc. on the slope of Block A, Lots 11 and 12
and Lots 9 and 10 in Phase IIIA. Two additional tests were performed
in Block A, Lot 10 on August 20, 1992. Tests results are shown on
Plate 1. Where tested, the fill was found to comply with the project
specifications.
on August 14, 1992, three samples of the imported soil being used in
Phase IIIB were obtained and returned to the laboratory to determine
compliance with the project Plasticity Index (PI) requirement of 28
or less. Test results are as follows:

Test results indicate the materials are acceptable for use as fill in
the residential building pads.
On August 22, 1992, fill placement and density testing resumed in
Block A, Lots 35 through 41. Four field density tests were
performed. Test results, which are shown on Plate 1, indicate
compliance with the project specifications.
Additional reports will be submitted as the work progresses.
