RE: Creekview Drive & Freeport Parkway
1~ Site Meeting
The first site meeting was held on the above referenced project. A summary of the items
discussed is following. There are several issues that we need to resolve.
1. Relocation of steel tube and cable fence: · Cannot salvage the existing fence
· A safety fence needs to be installed temporarily while the steel tube fence is being
installed
· SRA will write up the change order
· Brad Reid will check on the price of a recently installed steel and cable fence to
compare with the contractors proposed cost
2. The Leisure Services Department wants the excess excavation placed in the former stock
pond on the property east of the park:
· The fill will need to be placed in lites and densities taken
· The additional testing will result in additional costs to the contractor
· How do we want to handle this? Do we want to have the contractor place the fill on
the City property or do we want it hauled off to another location?
3. We are waiting on the cost analysis from TXU on the streetlights.
4. Verizon has not relocated their utilities along the east side of State Road - this is
supposed to be completed on or before December 1st. The contractor will stake the
project next week and a final determination can be made on whether TXU will have to
relocate their power poles at the beginning of Creekview.
