SUBJECT:

Alan D. Greer P.E, ~~
Final Inspection for CoppeLt Road
DATE: Januax3r 4, 2001
Copy to: ASM, File
The purpose of this memo is to docUm~;~i'my final inspection site visit on January 3, 2001. These
comments will be added to an overall final inspection punch list that will be developed by the City
of CoppeLt and distributed to Ed Bell Construction. The following are my observations from the
final inspection.
General: The final clean-up, sodding, set.~ing, landscaping and irrigation is not complete,
This is in various areas throughout the project.
General: The City of Coppell performed a detailed inspection of the waterlines and the
concrete paving. My inspection assumes that the City has addressed any issues with these
items.
General: The railing on the project is not complete and is not green in color as specified. We
need to approve the paint technical specifications prior to painting the rail.
4. Correct: The grading behind and around the TU Electric entrance drive.
Discussion: Need to look at options to correct on a permanent basis the bar-ditch flow from
Sandy Lake onto Coppell Rd. in front of the TU site. Need non-erosive material (geetextile
or rock riprap) to permanently provide erosion protection for about a 20 ft. length along the
common boundary of the paving and natural ground were the water flows onto the pavement.
Correct: There are issues with the replacement of plants and/or irrigation systems at the
Minyard Dr. entrance and the Mansions entrance. Issues need to be resolved.
7. Correct: Need to ~nalize all quantities and time on the project.
