RE: Wrangler Drive/Non-compliance with contract, ST 96-01
Dear Mr. Tiseo:
It has been my f'mding in the field during construction progress on Wrangler Drive, that the
items listed below are not in compliance with the specifications for the construction of
Wrangler Drive:
Reference Section Three, Specific Project Requirements
1. Safety Precautions, Section 1.7, Page 3-3.
The contractor shall erect and maintain as required by existing conditions
and progress of the work, all reasonable safeguards for safety and
protection, including posting danger signs and other warnings against
hazards, promulgating safety regulations and notifying owners and users of
adjacent utilities.
2. Cooperation of Contractor, Section 1.14, Page 3-4.
The contractor shall have on the project at all times, as his agent, a
competent superintendent.
3. Warning Devices, Section 1.15, Page 3-5.
The contractor shall have the responsibility to provide and maintain all
warning devices.
4. Existing Utilities, Structures and Other Property, Section 1.16, Page 3-6.
Prior to any excavation, the contractor shall determine the locations of all
existing utilities. To avoid unnecessary interference or delays, the
contractor shall coordinate all utility removals, replacements and
construction with the appropriate utility company.
5. Drainage, Section 1.17, Page 3-6.
The contractor shall maintain adequate drainage at all times.
6. Erosion Control, Section 1.24, page 3-7.
The contractor shall be responsible for furnishing, constructing and
maintaining control measures as necessary to prevent and control erosion,
sedimentation and water pollution.
Please make corrections immediately in order to be in compliance with the contract documents
