RE: Villages of Cottonwood Creek Phase IV
Dear Mr. Ratliff:
The City of Coppell's Subdivision Ordinance states in Appendix A, Section D-l-d "Paving in
alleys adjacent to masonry screening walls shall be constructed a minimum of twelve feet in
width and shall abut the screening wall". The concrete strip placed between the alley and
screening wall in the captioned addition is therefore considered part of the alley and would be
subject to the specifications governing alley construction i.e., sawed joints and joint sealing.
Alley construction requires sawed transverse dummy joints spaced on 20' centers that are to be
filled with silicone joint sealant. The cold joint between the alley and the concrete strip would
likewise have to be sealed with silicone joint sealant.
