Deficiencies to be Completed Before Moving Paver On-Site:
Sanitar~ Sewer S~stem
1. Grout flowline inverts of all manholes on-site per City of
Coppell specifications. Any leaks in walls or around pipe
connections must be plugged and sealed from infiltration.
2. Replace cone section of manhole at Station 4+90, Line "C"
which was placed above plan elevation.
3. In areas where trench backfill has not passed moisture
content and soil compaction requirements, the existing
backfill must be removed and recompacted to specified soil
density and optimum moisture requirements. The costs of all
retests are the responsibility of the Contractor per Article
1-42.3 of the North Central Texas Council of Governments
Standard Specifications.
4. Verify that the end of the 4" sanitary sewer service to each
lot has appropriate flagging from the end of the service to
the natural ground and that the flagging is tied to a 2 x 4
driven at each service location as a permanent marker.
The Contractor must provide "field ties" of all sewer
services to fixed points such as manholes or sewer cleanouts
for preparation of as-built plans as provided in the Special
Conditions to the Contract Documents. Any other changes or
deviations during construction of the utility lines must also
be noted.
5. Preliminary air testing has indicated there are air leaks
and/or infiltration into several sanitary sewer lines. The
leaks must be located by means of T.V. inspection and segment
air testing. All leaks and/or sags in the sanitary sewer
system must be repaired in conformance with contract
specifications.
A Mandrel must be pulled through all sanitary sewer lines
prior to the air test to insure the pipe is within deflection
s tanda rds.
6. All manhole castings must be set to grade with spacer rings
and grouted to the cone section.

Water System
1. The water system shall be tested with a hydraulic test
pressure of not less than 150 psi maintained over a period of
not less than two hours. Rate of leakage is not to exceed
11.65 gallons per inch of nominal diameter of pipe per mile
over a 24-hour period per North Central Texas Council of
Governments Standard Specifications. Any leaks will be
repaired by the Contractor and/or 3 - 4" services replaced
as needed.
After satifactory completion of pressure testing, all
waterlines shall be purged, sterilized and tested by the
Contractor until the bacterial count within the main meets
minimum potable water quality standards.
2. Verify that the end of the 3/4" water service to each lot has
appropriate flagging from the end of the service to the
natural ground and staked. The Contractor must provide
"field ties" of all water services to fixed points such as
fire hydrants and on valve boxes and any show all changes to
the proposed utility improvements for preparation of as-built
plans.
Storm Sewer:
1. In areas where trench backfill has not passed moisture
content and soil compaction requirements, the existing
backfill must be removed and recompac ted to specified
requirements. Backfill placed over Storm Sewer Line "A"
from Sra. 0+50 to 2+000 was placed with native material
instead of clean sand as required in standard construction
details. It must be removed and replaced with proper
backfill and compacted in accordance with plans and
specifications. In addition, a drainage swayle must be
constructed over Storm Sewer Line "A" as shown on Plan Sheet
9 of 14.
2. All storm sewer lines must be flushed of dirt and debris
which has accumulated in the pipe at the wye connections and
curb inlet locations. Pipe openings at curb inlet locations
should be blocked with plywood to allow for drainage but keep
additional dirt from getting into lines during the paving
operations.

3. Concrete footings must be placed on Storm Sewer Lines "B" and
"C" at the outlet to the lake where the pipe intersects the
existing millsap stone wall, per Plan Sheet 10 of 14.
4. The Storm Sewer Type "B" headwall must be placed at Station
12+60.67, Line "A" per Plan Sheet 9 of 14.
5. The bottom of all curb inlets must be grouted and sloped to
drain per sheet SD-9 of the Standard Construction Details.
Pipe connections must also be grouted to cover any exposed
reinforcing steel and make wall of inlet flush with storm
sewer pipe.
In addition, the Contractor must replace inlet bottoms on the
east 14' curb inlet at Station 2+44, Line "D" and the 4-grate
combination inlet at Station 4+62, Line "B" because the
concrete forms collapsed during placement.
General Site Work
1. Contractor is required to return compacted subgrade to within
0.1' of the original Grade. Excess spoil can be leveled off
on adjacent lots as long as adequate drainage is maintained.
