RE: Coppell Road, ST98-01
Dear Mr. Weber:
The following various areas of concern have been previously discussed with Gary Pryor,
Superintendent of referenced project for Ed Bell Construction.
1. Erosion control at all inlet locations and outfall at the box culvert.
To this date, these have not been addressed and there is rain in the forecast for the weekend.
2. Traffic control and barricades.
Please maintain all approved traffic control devices on Coppell Road at all times during the
construction process.
Way.
The excavated area between the Mansions By The Lake and south to Westminster
The northbound traffic lane that has been provided consists of a vertical cut in some areas of
greater than 32'. The concern is that if the subgrade material gets wet, there is a possibility
for this portion of the detour collapsing. Also, all material (dirt) needs to be removed from the
surface of the roadway. If it rains the material will become wet and make the roadway
slippery.
4. Canyon Drive at Coppert Road.
The provided detour crossover does not consist of a material that will withstand any type of
moisture.
Your immediate attention to these concerns will help to eliminate further issues. Should you
have any questions, please contact me at 972-304-3679.
