Following, please find GTE's sign-off approving the Corporate Park Boulevard name change to Canyon Drive. We
have discussed this change with Matt McClure, who has indicated IDI Group's concurrence with the new street
name. You can disregard GTE's e-marl note, which follows their approval of Canyon Drive. GTE is aware that the
name change will be presented to the city council on or about March 23to, and upon the city's approval, the actual
name change will immediately be implcmen~d~dlhilLthg~followinl[ few we~.ks, when the street name blades will be

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COPPELI., TEXAS,
CHANGING THE NAME OF CORPORATE PARK BOULEVARD TO
CANYON DRIVE, DIRECTING ~ TRAFFIC ENGINEER TO
CHANGE THE NAM~ AND ERECT SIGNAGE REFLECTING THE
SAME; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A
REPEAIJNG CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Corporate Park Boulevard as it appears in the records of the City runs
between 121 Frontage Road and eastwardly to its intersection with Coppell Road; and,
W~i~'.REAS, said Corporate Park Boulevard bisects what is commonly known as
Corporate Park; and,
WIIEREAS, such land has been undeveloped for a lengthy period of time and that said
street and roadway has been recently subject to development along its western boundary; and,
WH-EREAS, the land owner and developer seeks to develop said property and desires to
change the name of such streets; and,
WItEREAS, the City Council of the City has determined that it would be in the public
interest to change the name of said street from Corporate Park Boulevard to Canyon Drive.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ~
CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS;
SECTION 1. That Corporate Park Boulevard, from its intersection with 121 Frontage
Road, eastwardly, to its intersection with Coppell Road is hereby changed to Canyon Drive; and,
that the City Engineer is directed to correct the maps and records of the City to reflect a change in
said street name and to erect the appropriate signage in accordance with the ordinances and
regulations of the City of Coppeil, Texas.

SECTION 2. That all provisions of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Coppell, Texas, in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be, and the same are hereby, repealed, and all other
provisions not in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3. That should any word, sentence, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase or
section of this ordinance, or of the Code of Ordinances, as amended hereby, be adjudged or held to be
void or unconstitutional, the same shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of said
ordinance or the Code of Ordinances, as amended hereby, which shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately fi.om and a~er its passage the
publication of its caption, as the law and Charter in such cases provide.
