No. 1 Coppel 1, Texas Dear Mr. Brooks: In your letter to me dated January 25, 1988, you requested that Lloyd's U.S. furnish a bond in the amount of $13,125.00 to clear up a Mechanic's Lien filed against the above subject project by Armadillo Construction Services. The copy of the lien you enclosed with the letter was very faint and difficult to read, but it appears that the lien was filed for only $8,570.00. It is my understanding that the surety can bond only the amount filed by Armadillo. Please send me a legible copy of the lien and f. will request that the surety furnish a bond for the amount stated on the lien. You also inquired about the District's schedule for completing the utility contract for the Villages II project. Lloyd's U.S. has assigned American Developers and Contractors Inc. to complete the project, and the contractor has moved on site. A copy of the District's punchlist for American as well as our notice informing them to complete the work is enclosed. I understand American is also under contract with you to complete the other items on the City of Coppell's punchlist. We have not directed American to complete Item No. 5 on the City's pun--~list, repair of the millsap stone lake wall. The removal of the wall was necessary in two locations for installation of Storm Sewer Lines "B" and "C". Replacement of the wall is to be performed "By Others" , as shown in three places on Plan Sheet 10 of 14. A copy of this plan sheet, as designed by Nathan D. Maier Consulting Engineers, is enclosed for your review. The intent of the plans is very obvious, and I have previously explained this to Jean Maier and Ed Toole. This item would not have been eligible for reimbursement to the Developer even if included in this contract, because it is beyond the scope of a normal storm sewer headwall. 3109 CARLISLE, SUITE 206 3901 W.
