Subject: Water, Sanitary Sewer and Storm Drainage Improvements

Dear Mr. Morton:
The utility contractor for the above subject project, American
Developers and Contractors, has now completed all construction
punchlist items for this project. As District's Engineer for
Coppell M.U.D. No. 1, we request that City of Coppell officials
make a final inspection of this project and issue a formal
acceptance of the utilities if everything is satisfactory.
In our phone conversation earlier this week, you stated the City
does not usually issue a final acceptance for utilities without a
mutual acceptance of the paving improvements. However, it
appears there will be some delay in completion of the paving.
Completion of the utility contract has already been delayed due
to the subdivision replatting, and it is not reasonable to
withhold final acceptance and release of retainage to the
Contractor for items remaining on a totally separate contract. I
will send you a copy of the one-year maintenance bond for
utilities and as-built drawings for this project as soon as they
are executed.
Please call me as soon as you can schedule the final inspection.
I appreciate your help in expediting completion of the Villages
II utility improvement project.
