Dear Mr. Hawkins:
As you and I are both aware, this project has been a very tedious one
to complete. This project has also taken an enormous amout of time
and effort from both your staff and ours. With this in mind, I am
willing to schedule a final walk-thru for the utilities. The maintenance
bond for utilities and pavement must start and end on the same date.
The release of American Developers and Contractors final retainage is
at your discretion. I have no control or obligation in your contract
negotiations. It is not the City's policy to issue partial acceptance
of projects, nor do we prefer to receive maintenance bonds of portion
while other phases of construction are on going. Your cooperation and
understanding in this matter is greatly appreciated.
