Paving Subgrade Stabilization

Dear Mr. Martin:
Enclosed please find the results of twenty-two (22) Atterberg
Limits tests performed on finish subgrade soJ~ls at the specified
locations throughout the above referenced project.
The Plasticity indices (PI's) revealed soils from light to Iaoderate
activity on the streets. In our opinion, tbs addition of hydrated
lime would produce an a~verse effect on these soils.
Therefore, we recommend that tJu~--tol0 ~lx~~hes~ finish
subgrade be stabilized with ~-r~ (4)~p~~cement (24
pound~ per square yard). This a~ap~ication will not only cut down
th? higher PI's, but also increase ~hear strength of the treated
soxls.
I trust this is the information you} desire. If we can be of
further assistance or service, pleas~call on us.
/
Respectfully submitted,
