Villages C P3&4-CS 921202 MEMO
TO: Greg Jones, Acting Building Official
FROM: Kenneth M. Griffin, P.E., City Engineer
SUBJECT: Villages of Coppell Phase III-A and III-B
DATE: December 2, 1992
As part of the development requirements for a Floodplain Reclamation Study, our Floodplain
Ordinance requires that the developer, builder, seller, etc. shall inform in writing, each perspective
buyer of subdivision lots or property located within special flood hazard areas that the property
is in a flood hazard area and that all development must conform to the provisions of the City of
Coppell Floodplain Management Ordinance. The written notice shall be filed for record in the
Deed Records of Dallas County and a copy of the notice must accompany the application for
development permit.
The Villages of Coppell Phases III-A & III-B have several lots that will still contain some
floodplain, even after the reclamation. Therefore, a copy of the aforementioned notice should
accompany the application for building permits for Lots 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 of
Block A of Villages of Coppell Phase III-A and Lots 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27, and 28 of
Block A of Villages of Coppell Phase III-B.
If you should have any questions concerning this requirement, please feel free to contact me at
your convenience.
