Re: Wrangler Road/G.T.E. Conflict
This letter is a follow up on the progress by G.T.E. on Wrangler Rd. As of December 31,
1998, G.T.E. is still splicing their lines at Wrangler Rd. and Crestside Drive. In a phone
conversation on Monday, January 4, 1999 with J. Sireins, with G.T.E., he informed John
Redman, Tiseo's project superintendent, that it will be another week before the lines in
conflict with the proposed box culvert will be removed. Also, G.T.E. is in conflict with
the proposed inlets on the north side.
On December 30, 1998, the water line relocation at pav.sta. 18+95 was completed,
leaving Tiseo Paving only to finish the box culvert and inlets before street excavation.
The temporary road that was installed by us on the south side of Wrangler Rd. was~ only
intended to last a period of no more than two(2) months. It now has been longer than
that, and the detour road is starting to require maintenance work. When we bid the
project we did not provide addition costs associated with the maintenance of the detour
road. Tiseo Paving Company believes that G.T.E. should pay for the detour maintenance
cost we have incurred, since it is their delays that have caused this detour to be in use past
the original contract period.
