Re: Wrangler Road
This letter is a follow up to our conversation held in the meeting at your office. Tiseo
Paving Company finished the storm sewer Line "B", other than the four locations that
were in conflict with GTE cable. On November 6th, 1998, GTE subcontractor finished
lowering the cable at approximately Pav. Sta. 43+25. This leaves three other locations
remaining to be lowered. In talking with J. Simms, with GTE, he informed me that TU
Electric will have to relocate their pole at the proposed Junior High School drive at Pav.
Sta. 20+25, before he can remove the lines in conflict. We are losing valuable contract
time on this project and are limited to performing miscellaneous items. In our
conversation you stated that time was being charged although we cannot produce a
normal day of work.
I am stressing my concern about being charged time when we have conflicts preventing
us from performing our work. We have lost a month of work and encountered additional
cost for detour maintenance, correcting GTE's trench, and moving in and off site with
your utility crew. As of Friday, November 13th, 1998, our utility contractor has removed
his crew from site, until which time they can return and complete their portion of work.
A meeting is to held Friday, November, 20% 1998, with TU Electric, GTE, the City of
Coppell representatives, and Tiseo Paving Company in the hopes of resolving these
conflicts. Another letter will follow this meeting.
Should you have any questions regarding this matter, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Robert Caudill
