Villages C P3&4-CS 950328Tuesday, March 28, 1995 John L. Moore President Westchester Homes 621 West College Street Coppell, TX. 76051 Dear Mr. Moore, This letter is to document the complaint which I filed with Melinda Vail on the 27th of March, 1995 concerning my property purchased from Westchester Homes in September of 1993. I purchased a creek lot, Lot 26, Block A in the Villages of Coppell Phase III-B. My complaint is pursuant to the integrity of the property in the lower backyard between the house and the creek. The lower part of the yard has been slowly dropping creating a step down about two feet and a deep crevice across half of the yard. This is a continuation from a break in the adjacent Steve Smith home. It appears that if this movement continues I may have serious problems and loose part of the bank and existing trees. Whether the integrity of this property is Westchester's responsibility or not, it does reflect on your name and reputation from the buyers standpoint. I purchased in good faith trusting that all of the proper procedures/inspections and evaluations of the creekside were performed prior to development. I am requesting your assistance in this matter as far as the course of action to be pursued. Please contact me at 518-6823 (days) or 462-7970 (eve). Sincerely, Leslie Mathes cc: Melinda Vail, Westchester Homes Jim Witt, Manger City of Coppell
