Re: Construction Materials Testing Villages of Coppell, Phase IIIB Cheshire Drive Coppell, Texas Gentlemen: Submitted here are the results of testing and observation of construction materials at the referenced project. This report addresses the activities for the period of July 2 through 13, 1992. During the above period a total of 43 field density tests were performed on the fill placed within the residential building pads in Blocks A, B, and C. In addition, four tests were performed on the fill placed within Parker and Beau Drives. Test results are summarized on Plates 1 through 3. A large portion of these tests were taken on fill that was previously placed by the excavation contractor in Blocks C and B. While excavating test pits in these areas, a high PI (42) fill material was encountered. This material was located in Block C, Lots 4 through 9 and Block B, Lots 6 'through 9. The thickness of this material ranged from two to three feet. The contractor is presently in the process of removing this material from the pad areas and replacing it with an approved material. Compaction tests will be performed on this fill as the material is placed. 2424 STUTZ DRIVE · SUITE400 · DALLAS, TEXAS75235 · 214/350-5600 · (FAX) 214/350-0019 Don A. Tipton, Inc.
