RE: Villages at Cottonwood Creek Section V; Location of Hike & Bike Trail

On November 13, 1997, a hand written memo Was sent to you regarding the placement of trees
between Coppell Road and the subdivision screening wall by the developer of Villages at
Cottonwood Creek Section V. The memo was addressing the possible conflict the trees would
have with the future Hike & Bike Trail (see attached memo). Also, I contacted Ed Toole with
Grand Homes to see if he had discussed the placement of the trees with someone from the City
before they were planted. Mr. Toole said he contacted the Leisure Services Department and was
informed that the Hike & Bike Trail would be on the west side of Coppell Road and that the
Leisure Services Department had no problem with the location of the trees.
If the Hike & Bike Trail is to be located on the west side of Coppell Road, please provide a
memo for our Villages of Cottonwood Creek Section V file addressing this issue for future
reference.
