Re: Outstanding Development Fees / Villages of Coppell Phases III and IV
Dear Mr. Toole:
This letter is written as a follow-up to my August 8, 1994 letter and your September 15, 1994
letter concerning Water Impact Fees associated with the development of Villages of Coppell
Phases III and IV. You may recall that we recently spoke about this during the development of
Villages of Cottonwood Section V. Your September 1994 letter stated that you were awaiting
legal advice prior to the payment of the Water Impact Fees and that once that had been resolved
any payment due would be made. I am unsure what legal advice you may be seeking, but two
and one/half years have now passed and the City is still awaiting payment of the outstanding
Water Impact Fees associated with the Villages of Coppell Phases III and IV.
The fee list provided with the August 1994 letter (copy attached) shows that there is still an
outstanding balance of $66,000. That breaks down to a Water Impact Fee for Phase IIIB in the
amount of $36,300 and Phase IVB in the amount $29,700. If you are still awaiting some type
of legal advise, please provided the City of Coppell information on what that advice might be
so that this issue can be brought to a resolution. If that advice has been obtained and the lack
of payment has been an oversight on your part, then make payment to the City of Coppell and
forward it to Jennifer Armstrong, Finance Director.
The City has been very patient in trying to resolve this matter but as you can see it is time to
close the books on the Villages of Coppell and bring this matter to a resolution. If you need any
