Dear Mr. Griffin:
Thank you for the opportunity to meet with you and discuss the completion of the
Villages at Cottonwood Creek Phase V. As instructed, we have commissioned our
engineers to work toward an action plan toward the identification of on site conditions and
to present an acceptable resolution of the right of way situation along Coppell Road. As
soon as the information available can be clarified and the actual situation is clearly defined,
we will be in contact with you toward an acceptable resolution of this situation.
Again, we appreciate your cooperation in helping us resolve this and in achieving an
acceptable result.
Under the circumstances, we respectfully request the release of the requested building
permit for Lots 8C and 10C in Villages at Cottonwood Creek Phase V. As we discussed,
the permit of these lots are not adjacent to, nor affected by the circumstances involving the
right of way at Coppell Road; therefore, these lots are now complete and ready for
building.
As we discussed we are working in conjunction with Home Magazine and the National
Association of Home Builders Convention for the construction for the "NATIONAL
HOME OF THE YEAR". This will be a tribute to the City of Coppell and on display for
the more than 65,000 Home Builders and other interested parties who will visit the Home
from October 1997 to January 1998.
In addition, Home Magazine is working with Home Depot and the thirty stores
surrounding the Metroplex, including Masco and Crate & Barrel, the AMERICAN

LUNG ASSOCIATION, and several other charities who will benefit from home
showings in the "NATIONAL HOME OF THE YEAR" in this Subdivision. Obviously,
Coppell will receive a considerable amount o£ press and exposure, not only from the local,
but also national media associated With this project and the charities involved.
We hope that you Will consider the circumstances and allow us to proceed accordingly and
will release these permits for this home so that we may commence construction.
Again, we gratefully and respectfully request your release of the permits on these two lots.
