Dear Mr. Howe:
Enclosed with this letter is a copy of a partially completed Floodplain Development Permit. Prior
to beginning construction or applying for a permit, you should fill in the date on the permit and
sign and date the application. Those areas are highlighted on the enclosed permit. You should
also provide a site plan to ensure that the playhouse is constructed along the ridge on the northeast
side of the property. Once the permit is received by the City of Coppell Engineering Department,
a permit number will be assigned and it will be signed by the Floodplain Administrator.
Subsequent to obtaining a building permit for construction of the playhouse, the Floodplain Permit
must be completed and signed by the Floodplain Administrator.

The FLOODPLAIN ADMINISTRATOR has reviewed plans and specifications of the proposed development for conformance with the
development standards required by COPPELL Floodplain Ordinance 1194639. You are hereby authorized to proceed with the following

To maintain compliance with the development standards of COPPELL Floodplain Ordinance #94639 and to eliminate or minimize -floood
damage potential to the proposed development, you are hereby directed to construct your proposed development in accordance with the
following special provisions:
( X ) Compliance with all requirements of Copper Floodplain Ordinance #94659 including but not limited to:
, For residential structures, the lowest.floor (including basemenO must be elevated to two (2)feet above the lO0-year base
-floood elevation or one (l) foot above ultimate condition whichever is higher. Certification of the lowest floor must be
submitted from a registered professional engineer, architect, or land surveyor.
> For non-residential structures, the lowest floor (including basemenO must be elevated orfloodproofed to two (2) feet
above the lO0-year base flood elevation or one (1)foot above ultimate condition whichever is higher. Certification that
the -floodproofing methods are adequate to withstand the.flood depths, pressures, velocities, impact and uplift forces and
other factors associated with the base -floood must be submitted from a registered professional engineer or architect.
For fill activities, the permittee must submit certification from a registeredprofesslonal engineer or land surveyor that
the level of the compacted fill material is at or above the elevation of the Base Flood.
( ) Certified copy of all final plans or As-Built Drawings must be submitted to the FLOODPLAINADMINISTRATOR.
