A final inspection was held for Village at Cottonwood Creek,
Section One on February 5, 1986 by representatives of Pierce-
Lunsford (District Engineer for Coppell M.U.D. No. ]), the City of
Coppell, Ginn, Inc. and the Contractor JAHO, Inc. It was
determined that JAHO has completed the utility work for Section I
in accordance with plans and specifications.
Because Section I and II were bid together as one single contract,
Pierce-Lunsford cannot recommend final acceptance of the entire
project to the M.U.D. board until the Phase Two improvements are
completed. However, since Phase One improvements are completed
and accepted, I see no reason the C/tv of Coppell should not
accept the Section One improvements and release the subdivision
for building permits. As-built plans have been completed for both
sections by the design engineer Wier and Associates and an
executed Maintenance Bond has been received for both sections,
though it will not go into effect until acceptance is made for the
entire project. JAHO has a good reputation among utility
contractors, and I will see to it they take care of any problem
due to construction deficiencies with Section I or II that might
arise.
