Water Line Construction
The Village at Cottonwood Creek
It has been brought to our attention that a serious problem
now exists concerning fill that is to be placed over existing
water lines on the above referenced project. We were assured
prior to beginning construction of the water line that no
additional fill would be required in these areas. This
obviously is not correct as Dahlstrom now has stakes set along
Winding Hollow showing as much as three (3) feet of fill
required in some areas. We are requesting that no fill be
placed on or near existing water lines until we have completed
and tested all water lines and water services. This should be
completed within ten (10) working days. After all water lines
have been tested and accepted by representatives of the City
of Coppell, Coppell MUD ~1 and SBS Joint Venture, JAHO, Inc.
will not be responsible for subsequent damage to these water
lines and water services caused by the placement of fill in
these areas. Any damage to the aforementioned lines must
be the responsibility of the contractor placing the fill. I
should point out that JAHO, Inc. has expressed concern about
this problem on numerous occasions. We do not believe that
the placement of this fill can be accomplished without some
damage to the water line and water line appurtenances. We
feel this situation is serious and request that it be given
your prompt attention in order to achieve the quickest possible
resolution. Your cooperation on this matter will be greatly
