Dear Mr. Elsom:
Pursuant to your letter of March 17, 1997 and as a follow-up of my conversations with Mr.
Chris Behnke, P.E. of your office, the City of Lewisville authorizes the City of Coppell to
forward their permit applications for street and driveway intersections of Spur 553,
between Denton Tap Road and MacArthur Boulevard. The design standards for the street
and driveway intersections shall be the City of Lewisville standards.
The City of Lewisville will be the entity for maintenance of these facilities as long as they
are within the existing boundaries of Lewisville. The boundary line follows the existing
southerly right-of-way line of Spur 553. If additional rights-of-way are required by or
granted to the City of Coppell for deceleraHon lanes, sidewalks, screening walls, etc.
beyond the existing boundary line, i~ would ~hen be the responsibility of the City of
Coppell ~o maintain such facilities.
The approved permit applications may be sen~ direcdy to the City of Coppell and a copy
sen~ ~o my attention.
I am copying ~his letter to Mr. Michael A. Martin, P.E., City of Coppell as a letter of
understanding for all parties involved.
